ANZO announces new nine-year lease to PricewaterhouseCoopers

August 8, 2011

AMP NZ Office Limited (ANZO) has announced the retention of another major customer, PricewaterhouseCoopers.

ANZO chief executive Scott Pritchard said PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has committed to a new nine-year lease, will retain naming rights and has taken an additional level at Auckland’s PricewaterhouseCoopers Tower.

This success follows ANZO’s retention of another major customer, ANZ National Bank, announced in March.

Mr Pritchard said the PwC lease would lift the weighted average lease term (WALT) of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Tower by 2.6 years to 4.5 years as at 30 June 2011. ANZO’s portfolio WALT improves by 0.3 years.

Mr Pritchard commented: “PwC anchored the original development and was closely involved with its design when it was being planned by ANZO in 2000.”

“This new commitment will take PwC’s connection to the building – and the relationship between our two businesses – out to the year 2020.”

PwC CEO and Senior Partner Bruce Hassall commented: “The PricewaterhouseCoopers Tower continues to provide us with a high quality environment in a landmark location from which to continue to service our client base. We are delighted to remain within ANZO’s portfolio and commit to The PricewaterhouseCoopers Tower for a further 9 years.”
